Hello! This game is fantastic -- do you have plans to update it still?
I do!
I actually have the update written but it is a state of badly needing editing.
I'm usually a bit a perfectionist down to the formatting and layout of the document but i think I'm going to do a rough polish so the update is readable if not the most organized (lol) and then later put a nicer better edited one.
And probably with the nice formatted update some balance tweaking.
awe awesome!! tysmmm
Suggestion: some sort of rules for showing off produce and plants at a state fair.
Really enjoying this game! Having fun researching plant care for different kinds of plants for my fields, as well as animal training, because I'm a nerd like that.
Im so glad you are enjoying it!!!
I have an update (that is still in the works) that adds things like that but uhhh this year has been rough so editing the update has been hard, hopefully i can get the update out sometime next year though!! I might put up a less neatly organized version of the update as a beta.
Hey, whenever you get it out is good. I'll look forward to it, and in the meantime, keep on trucking with my ranch.
This game is so much fun! I really love it! any news on the big update that you mentioned before?
I love this game so much! I really hope you continue to develop it! Thank you! :)
Thank you so much! I have a big update in the works that hopefully will be finished soon!
Its going to add NPCs and Crafting but i don't want to give away to much about the update before its out lol.
Yo, I love this. This is the first time I've used a solorpg since I knew the term was "solorpg." I thought the looser rules might send me away, since I'm used to more mainstream systems and cooperative storytelling. But no... I love this, it can actually take me a while to complete a day (even on only two actions. I blame the bird who changed the weather...) and while I was planning to just jot practical and mechanical notes down at first, I ended up drawing my character and animals thus far, and my notes became a shortform diary from my PC, and there's a lot of threads I can make consistent even through the brute randomness and the magic occurances. Anyway 5/5 probably playing more after I post this.
I'm so glad you're enjoying the game! I hope your Twixtways ranch game goes well! Be careful of those pesky weather birds lol.
This comment really made my day ^.^
Another question... Can apiaries accumulate honey until it's harvested, or must it be harvested each day or the day's production is lost?
You mention additional staff in the farmhouse entry, but no other rules for them yet; presumably those are to come in a later version.
In the meantime, would it be fair to have a hired hand do one action a day in return for a salary (how much?) and housing?
Those are some good questions
Staff are going to come in a later version yes but id say for $25 or $50 depending on how hard you want it to be would be enough for one staff doing one action
as for apiaries you need to collect them in the current version to get the honey.
Thanks for the answers! (Fortunately, it's going to be a while before I get any staff - I still have quite a lot of debt to pay off, and then I have to make enough to buy more land before I can build another house...)
